ABOUT YESTENANT

A more complete picture of your next tenant.

A bright, welcoming rental apartment

YesTenant is a behavioral tenant-screening service for independent U.S. landlords. Insight combines an applicant-completed behavioral assessment with landlord references. Complete adds a credit report and score.

Who operates YesTenant

YesTenant is operated by James Kurtessis, a U.S. landlord. The aim is practical: give landlords more context when choosing their next tenant.

Three perspectives, with behavioral insight at the center

Traditional references

Previous landlords describe their experience with the applicant, including rent payments, lease history, property condition, and communication.

Behavioral assessment

The applicant completes a behavioral assessment. Realistic rental scenarios explore judgment about everyday responsibilities and situations.

Grounded in assessment science

Our approach draws on situational judgment testing. Reference feedback and applicant assessment scores remain separate, helping landlords review each source of information and ask useful follow-up questions.

Results support judgment alongside other screening information. They do not guarantee future behavior or make a rental decision.

The current YesTenant service

The current service focuses on tenant screening for U.S. landlords. Older search results may refer to a former rental marketplace that used the YesTenant name and domain. That marketplace is separate from the current service described here.

Financial history adds context

YesTenant Complete includes a consumer-authorized credit report and score alongside the behavioral assessment and traditional landlord references. The three sources remain distinct; YesTenant does not present a combined tenant-risk score.
